The Prisoner's Dilemma: The Problems of Civil War Prisons Presented by Nick Smith

The Prisoner's Dilemma: The Problems of Civil War Prisons
We all know the name of the most infamous Confederate prison, Andersonville. In fact, Dr. Carole Morton gave us an excellent talk on it, just last year. You may have also heard, or read about, other prisons, like Libby Prison, in Richmond; but, what do you know of Union prisons, or about the life of prisoners captured by both the Union and Confederate forces? At our January 12 meeting, Nick Smith, President of the Pasadena CWRT, will present his well received talk about the POW prisons operated by both adversaries during the War. Nick will tell us the interesting story about the fate of, and environment in, these camps. Nick always delivers a thoroughly researched talk, in an engaging and educational style. You do not want to miss this meeting!
